That’s slated to open sometime next year. Next door, on the sprawling site of an old mill on the Dan River, Caesars is building a 500-room hotel and casino resort. The casino is just over the border from North Carolina, a little over an hour from the Triangle and Triad regions of North Carolina. It officially opens to the public on Monday at 10 a.m.
